Why do I need video to apply for jobs?

We’re in constant communication with our clients, and one thing which they all agree upon is that quality video content is a crucial part of how they make their decision about who to book on Arrive. Without being able to see a musician perform live before booking them, a video is simply the next best thing – allowing them to see and listen to the unique way you make music. 

How can I get video on my profile?

Shooting a video doesn’t need to be an expensive or time-consuming task. Though investing in a professional video will maximize your chances of showcasing your musical ability to a potential client, most mobile phones now come with a video camera built in. 

If you don’t have a video of you performing live at an event, why not enlist the help of a friend or a nearby piece of furniture to record you on your phone, while you play one of your top pieces. Make sure the background is uncluttered and there’s ample lighting – a white wall in a sunny room works perfectly. 

However, we recommend that if you’re serious about getting work online, you invest in a professionally shot video. A good video usually costs upwards of $150 for soloists and $500 for bands.
